It’s true, folks! Hot source on the project states that Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner sequel is in the works under the command of veteran producer Bud Yorkin. Top screenwriters John Glenn and Travis Wright (Eagle Eye) are working on several treatments since 2006 and the current status of the story is classified, but Yorkin is in touch with previsualization team The Third Floor (all former Star Wars special effects team members) in order to work on some of the hunter sequences and space battles which occur in off-world colonies where the sequel is most likely to take place. Blade Runner II is still away from its conclusion, but it’s evolving.

Previs seems to be a vital part of the process now that the crew will be able to fix problems and reduce the need of reshoots which were a drag on the first version. If it will good or bad, only time will tell. Yorkin already mentioned that if the green light is given, he’ll bring back stars Harrison Ford, Hutger Hauer and Daryl Hannah.

Kiefer Sutherland may have been surrounded by haunted mirrors recently, but his resolve on 24 has never been better. Thrilled by the upcoming 24: Exile, Sutherland wasn’t shy when serious business got to him, last Thursday, at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in LA, during a series of interviews for Mirrors. “As long as we wrap the series, the feature film is next in line, make sure of that. The way 24 is written makes it practically impossible for the screenwriters to remain sane if a movie gets in the way, so we will wait”, said a laid back Sutherland. But when will be the time to retire Jack Bauer? “We’re looking for a perfect season, as soon as we find it, we can move on”.

Now that The House Bunny has hit the screens all over America, 31 y-old and hot comedian Anna Faris, was introduced to the glamour surrounding the Playboy Way of Life. And she liked it! Although she never dreamed about being a centerfold, she shed some light on the possibility on an exclusive interview to SOS Hollywood, yesterday in Los Angeles.

“Never say never to anything. I have never thought about it, but If Hef invites me now I know that this is something to value e give some serious thought. Playboy lives on glamour and style, and it’s a cultural icon, which turns it into something relevant and not silly or semi-porn like Hustler or Penthouse, for example. The only thing I know is that my parents would not be happy about it!”, said a clever and interesting Faris, whose first major hit was the comedy Scary Movie playing crazy Cindy.

“They took the movie away from her!”, says producer Deborah Del Prete.

Although the Lionsgate panel at Comic-Con featuring Punisher: War Zone was an audience blast, all the attendees were informed that director Lexi Alexander wasn’t there due to her honey moon trip. On the next day, the true was unfolded as news of Lexi’s most likely being fired hit the web on an article published on Ain’t It Cool News.

Producer Deborah Del Prete, Frank Miller’s partner on The Spirit, took her shot at matter just minutes before the roundtables for her movie.

“I’ve seen the article and it’s bad. I’m very close friend with Lexi and I must tell you, it’s all wrong. She wasn’t fired, they took the movie away from her. I’ve seen her cut and it’s amazing, but someone else thought otherwise. I’ve been working with her and she’s a great director. I’ll keep on working with her and the only thing I can tell about this is that I trust her.”

Besides the bad timing for the announcement, the fact that Punisher’s producer lied to an entire audience makes us wonder: will it be good? Can we trust them after all of this? The video seemed awesome and ubberviolent, but will it reflect at the studio’s final cut?

After last week’s interview by director Louis Leterrier to G4TV – when he mentioned a possible cameo of Captain America on the upcoming The Incredible Hulk – everyone who had the chance to watch the movie was frustrated by not seeing the beloved character or perhaps his shield again. And that’s true: he is NOT on the final cut. However, it doesn’t mean he’s not there. On an exclusive interview to SOS Hollywood, Louis Leterrier revealed the secret — beware of the spoilers!

“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.�

EXCLUSIVE - During interviews for The Spiderwick Chronicles, producer Mark Canton couldn’t avoid but talk about his most recent big hit: 300. Very happy to mention the Spartans war flick, Canton mentioned how amazing it was to see Frank Miller’s work to gain form and that he’d love to do that again. His broad smile was a good hint on his happiness towards the matter.

Here goes the most interesting part of the interview:

Is a new 300 a reality? Should we expect to meet you again on a press junket for that?
(Another gigantic smile)
Wouldn’t it be nice to do that again with Zack (Snyder).

So you’re going for it, right?
I just said “wouldn’t it be nice?�. But I’d love to. (and he winked). Budgets are really a problem to approve these days. (Another smile and left the room).

As subtle messages are the most important way of telling something that cannot be told in Hollywood, the true answer is yes. A very good source within Warner Bros. also confirmed that all things are ready to start once the company greenlights the project.

It will be interesting to see what will Frank Miller come up with this time.

LOS ANGELES - A unexpected rumor grows stronger in Hollywood since last week. Close sources to top executives and stars such as Nicole Kidman reports that box office failure in US theaters with Golden Compass was the last drop concerning the future of New Line Cinema. Although the movie grossed fortunes throughout the world and won a Special Effects Oscar, besting favorite Transformers, sounds like that nothing can save the company from being dissolved. The last chapter on this story was written after the publicity stunts for the Golden Compass in Japan, the last major market to premiere the fantasy flick. A person related to Nicole Kidman said that “even worldwide gross won’t be enough to save them”.

If it proves true, New Line line up will probably be taken over by Warner Bros. This year will be big in terms of anticipated movies, especially when it comes to Sex & The City – The Movie, the first big screen feature on the most famous New Yorker quartet, InkHeart and Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, both featuring Brendan Frasier. Not to mention the announced The Hobbit feature, a guaranteed golden pot at box offices after the smashing success of Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Too many great movies, too much money and too less information to take it for granted, but, still, a strong possibility according to the sources.

Without any intention to generate any conspiracy theory, recent news on a law issue involving New Line Cinema and Tolkien Estate, over the royalty rights for the multimillionaire movie franchise that, according to Tolkien representatives, “haven’t being paid at all “, corroborates to the idea that something is not right within New Line’s ranks. Was the ring’s burden to unbearable?

February 29, 0h05: I just got news that Warner Bros issued a press release today, few minutes after the posting of this rumor. So it’s now official, New Line Cinema will be assimilated by the Borgs.. oops.. Warner Bros itself.
